Level Up Your Coffee

Updated: Apr 25, 2021

And just like that we’ve directly sold nearly 200lbs of freshly harvested and roasted coffee!

It’s hard to believe that our oldest green beans are still fresher than anything else on the shelves. Each time I open a bag someone makes a comment, it smells that fresh.

The coffee supply chain has many checks and balances to ensure the quality of coffee, and each of them have legitimate value to the downstream buyer. The bi-product of each step: time and money. This also potentially / inadvertently, strips away profit for the farmer.

As a direct example, our farm employs the local community as well as immigrants from Venezuela who we pay to selectively pick our coffee by hand. After harvesting, pulping, washing, and sun drying our beans, we receive $0.90 per pound ($2.00 p/Kg). This same coffee could be sold for $4 per pound ($8 p/Kg) to a wholesale buyer, and in turn roasted and sold for $20 ($40 p/Kg).

When you buy coffee directly from our farm not only are you skipping the supply chain that impacts the welfare of the local community, you are also getting the freshest coffee money can buy.

Email or call us anytime! We’re always happy to talk shop, answer questions, and take special requests!
